NCAC - Strategic Plan dtd July 8, 2010 - Progress Reports

The Executive Officers and Directors of the NCAC, have been extremely pro-active with our organization. Since September, the board has approved and has been progressively implementing the Newport Community Action Committee (NCAC) Strategic Plan, dated July 8, 2010.

The Strategic Plan lists five areas containing Action Goals and Objectives to enhance our community and build a stronger unity with local organizations. Some of the goals and objectives include recreational activities, health and wellness program implementation, enhancing and restructuring the NCAC Board, creating a variety of fundraising events, seeking foundation and government grants for local organizations, and developing a universal marketing and advertising plan that incorporates events of local organizations. There are also additional goals for the Recreation Center/Facility, to make gradual improvements of the building structure. Outlined below is a Quarterly Progress Report. It is exciting to know that, in a very short period of time, notable progress is being made. The Strategic Plan is a living document. It evolves over time, but it permits the board, as well as volunteers with a focus on the goals it is working towards.

The Newport Community Action Committee (NCAC) holds monthly Board Meetings the First Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.. Board Meetings are located at the Newport Recreation Center. Community Members and citizens are welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings.
