Virginia's Oldest Agricultural Fair!
In 2010,The Newport Agricultural Fair celebrated its 75th birthday , making it the oldest continuous agricultural fair in the state of Virginia. This annual event is scheduled the second weekend in August, on the grounds of the Newport Recreation Center located off of Route 42 in Newport.
The Fair offers the largest fireworks display in Giles County and features rides, good food, games, a horse show, a horse pull, bingo, live music, and more! It is event that brings thousands of families together!
