Newport Village Garden Club
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR NEW GARDENING IDEAS, INTERACTING WITH OTHER GARDENERS, AND FUN?
WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN US!
The Newport Village Garden Club was formed in 1992. Garden Club membership is open to anyone who desires garden fun. The objective is to educate its members and the general public in the fields of horticulture, gardening, beautification, conservation, and the environment. The meetings are very informative and fun. The club members have a wealth of gardening knowledge. We have guest speakers (topics have been landscape design, flower arranging, perennials, etc.), field trips, and community affairs. We currently have several civic projects. We maintain the flowerbeds at Super-Value Grocery, Newport Post Office, and the Newport Recreation Center. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (March-December) at the Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church at 7PM. Dues are $10 per member/per year.
