Learning Center Computer Lab |
A public
computer lab is located on the first floor of the Newport Recreation
Center, with high speed internet access, a full suite of office
applications, and free informal computer help. Access is available
to all from 11am until 7pm every Monday.
Presently, The Learning Center is assessing interest in
community-centered introductory computer classes for
seniors and youths as well as intermediate computer classes in
specific topic areas such as GNU/Linux, home computer repair and
assembly, or other topic areas desired by the community.
Additionally, the NRCC is interested in sponsoring computer classes
which meet academic requirements.
